We were super excited to hear that Shakespeare’s Rose Theatre, Europe’s first ever pop up Shakespearean Theatre, was returning to York this summer and delighted to be offered EXCLUSIVE tickets, for our temporary staff, to the opening night of Hamlet and the first dress rehearsal of Twelfth Night.
The theatre first came to York in summer 2018 and the attraction has certainly earnt itself some rave reviews, check out all the comments here
This year they promise to again transport audiences to the thrilling, intimate atmosphere of an Elizabethan playhouse, with plenty of breath-taking, spine-tingling, heart-stopping moments.
We used our exclusive tickets as part of recent competitions including the ‘opening night of Hamlet’ which appeared on WorkwithSchools Instagram page and ‘a dress rehearsal of the Twelfth Night’ was hosted on our Facebook page. We are always on the look out for great local offers or competitions to give that little bit extra as well as matching them to interesting and relevant assignments.
It appears that the opening night of Hamlet went down very well with audiences and our Instagram competition winner Marie Bonsey agrees. She’s a supply teacher with us and gave it this glowing review;
“It was absolutely brilliant. Thank you so much WorkwithSchools. The performance was excellent, the seats gave us a brilliant view and even the rubbish weather couldn’t spoil it. We had a great night.”
Patricia Bartley, who has worked on lots of different assignments for us, was thrilled with scooping her Twelfth night tickets and gave us this wonderful feedback,
“Thanks for the tickets! I saw Twelfth Night dress rehearsal this afternoon and absolutely loved it. A really great performance from all the actors with lots of music and laughs. Go and see!”
A big thank you to the team at Shakespeare Rose Theatre for offering these tickets for the second year running and we’re so thrilled that our staff enjoyed the performances. Good luck to Shakespeare Rose Theatre for the rest of the run.
Don’t miss out book your tickets today. Performances are running until 1st September 2019.
