We’ve got an amazing competition that’s open to all local primary schools in York, North and East Yorkshire to kick start 2020.
To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of World Earth Day (on April 22nd 2020) we’re running a competition aimed at Key Stage 2 students. The theme is around ‘saving the planet’, where they have the chance of winning a rip-roaring prize – a class trip to see the highly acclaimed Lion King at the Alhambra Theatre in Bradford in May. This is for a matinee performance in May including coach travel and worth £1000!
A lesson plan has been prepared to support the competition by WorkwithSchools’ Recruitment Consultant and Qualified Primary Teacher Ellis Campbell. She has already begun promoting the competition within local school assemblies.
Ellis says; “We are delighted to ‘work with schools’ to engage students in and around York on the hot topic of environmental education with a terrrrific prize to boot. We pride ourselves on our close relationships with schools and candidates to ensure the best match and look forward to forging new and sustainable relationships at the start of this new decade”.
If you work in a school or know a school that might be interested in getting involved, please ask them to contact our WorkwithSchools team on 01904 554195 by Friday 14th February 2020 to book their assembly or get full details of the competition. Class entries must be submitted by Friday 3rd April 2020.
